PACKAGE 1
TITLE: TO BE DETERMINED
FEATURING FLORIAN IDENBURG (SO-IL)

How can we as architects establish a meaningful practice in an age of global instability and uncertainty. The profession that claims to be able to deliver the future is continually faced with its impotence to control its destiny. Could there be a different model of practice, one that takes the uncertainty as the modus operandi. An architectural practice which is as much a participant as it is a commentator. Solid Objectives – Idenburg Liu was established in Sept 2008, one month before the fall of Lehman Brothers. In an open forum Founder Florian Idenburg talks about the strategies SO – IL devised to grow our ofice to a new international practice, despite the uncertainty it was facing.
